Insert A Document Link
 

Adding a link to a document is easy.

You can upload and link to:
  • PDF
  • Word Docs
  • Spreadsheets
  • PowerPoint Presentations
  • most any type of docuement (allowable by the editor/site permissions)
The steps are:
  1. Select the article and enter article edit mode (from front or back end)
  2. Click on "Insert File Link"
  3. Upload the file from your computer
  4. Set the display parameters
  5. Insert
  6. Save the article

The remainder of this article show you the screen shots for each step.



You must be able to edit the article, and know how to get into edit mode.

Click on the screenshots below for a larger view.


Once you are there, you click on the editor icon.

Then Click on the Upload Icon

Sneakily positioned way over to the right and in the middle of the pop up

Then click on the Add Icon

Then you can browse your computer and find the file you want to insert.

Then click on upload.

Note: you can add a number of files by repeating the add/browse/double click step above.



Then when the upload is finished, exit the pop-up.

Then select the file you uploaded by clicking on the filename.

Then be sure to complete the other parameters.

Then Save your article - that's it!
